How LaplandStays verifies prices, names properties, stays affiliate-independent and handles corrections, editorial standards for our Lapland stays guide.
The standards LaplandStays runs on. Where the prices come from, how affiliate relationships are handled, what happens when something is wrong.
Every "from €X/night" claim is pulled from the operator's own booking page or our booking partners. Prices are re-checked at least once per quarter and explicitly at the start of aurora season (September). Where a property is sold out for peak weeks the page says so up front instead of routing readers to a 0-result search.
References to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, Levin Iglut, Star Arctic, Aurora Village Ivalo, Wilderness Hotel Nellim and Muotka, Apukka Resort, Arctic TreeHouse Hotel, Nova Skyland, Lapland Hotels (Levi/Ylläs), Harriniva, Northern Lights Ranch, by name, with deep links. No anonymous "luxury cabin" without saying which.
LaplandStays earns an affiliate commission on bookings made through partner links (Sembo via Adtraction and Trip.com for hotels, EconomyBookings via Travelpayouts for cars, GetYourGuide for activities). The commission rate is similar across the partner programme, so it has no influence on which properties are recommended. A non-affiliate operator is also recommended (e.g. VR for trains) when it is the right answer, see the /transport page for an example.
When something is wrong it gets fixed and the change is logged in the site changelog. Material changes (price corrections, property closures, schema updates) carry a date stamp on the relevant section. If you spot an error, email info@laplandvibes.com, usually same-day response from inside Lapland.
Affiliate vs editorial: an affiliate commission is earned on the first four sources, none on the last three. That distinction never changes which source readers are sent to; it changes which one is flagged as paid.

Travel data drifts. Prices move, properties close, flight routes get cut. When something published is no longer accurate, it is better to hear about it than to have a reader miss their dates because of it.
with the page URL and the line that is off. It gets logged in the per-site status page and the public-facing copy is updated within 1–3 days for non-urgent issues, same day for price errors that could affect someone's booking.
What never happens: silent edits. Material corrections always get an entry in the site changelog, dated and described.
